Sharon Yamato

Sharon Yamato is a writer/journalist, TV producer, and independent filmmaker with more than four decades of experience in media and TV/film production. Her films include Out of Infamy: Michi Nishiura Weglyn,, A Flicker in Eternity, and Moving Walls, for which she wrote an accompanying book, Moving Walls: The Barracks of America’s Concentration Camps, featuring photos by Stan Honda. She also co-authored Jive Bomber: A Sentimental Journey, a book by the founding president of the Japanese American National Museum. She has written articles for the Los Angeles Times and is currently a columnist for the Los Angeles daily newspaper, The Rafu Shimpo.
Evan Kodani

Evan Kodani was recently awarded a Los Angeles Emmy for his similar role in the KCET documentary, “Masters of Modern Design.” He currently serves as manager of the Media Arts Department at the Japanese American National Museum. He shares a personal connection to the wartime incarceration through his grand uncle, who was the noted artist Chiura Obata, as well as his father’s family who was incarcerated at the Topaz concentration center. Hailing from the San Francisco Bay area where Collins lived and worked, Kodani has nurtured a strong connection to stories emanating from the Northern California area.

Dave Iwataki is the composer for many documentaries including Akira Boch’s Emmy award-winning, “Masters of Modern Design” for PBS’ Artbound series, and others for The Japanese American National Museum. He is currently at work on an expanded production of the stage production featuring his own compositions, “J-Town/Bronzeville Suite”. He is a proud former member of Hiroshima, has recorded and performed with Al McKay’s Earth, Wind and Fire Experience, the Pointer Sisters, Olivia Newton-John, Peabo Bryson, The Grateful Crane Ensemble, and The 5th Dimension.
